The guys from Canada saying they are better have no idea what they are
talking about. This is St. Louis hockey, roller hockey, yes, but STL is a
breeding ground for hockey players. Also, I’ve played high school inline
and ice in STL, and am playing inline in college, and the competition is
harder than people think. Sure, ice is harder competition because more
people play it, and inline doesn’t have hitting (wish it did), but comon!
I’ve got friends in Juniors that haven’t played roller before that don’t
know how we fly around in roller blades like we do without breaking ankles.
There’s less forgiveness in skating and its a weird transition, so I will
gladly play and beat anyone thinking they can just wake up and play inline
with just an ice hockey background.

How much does someone make playing in a professional roller hockey league?

Why don’t you play in that league and then we’ll talk? Southside snipers
are the not the guys you will be able to dominate.
yeah as goalie i would agree, for ice they can slide around but sliding
isnt as easy on that surface

competitions and USA is one of the best teams historically w/ Sweden…

not anything to live off of…. but its still pay… and yes this is
“pro”…. as is MLRH and the AIHL…. n this shit is fast as hell… these
are a lot of the same guys in the NARCH pro div at tourneys. Itan n
Osterkamp play in the AIHL…. if u think theyre slow ur fuckin idiotic

I am thinking about playing roller hockey in the off season of ice hockey
so i was wondering, is it really much different than ice hockey and are the
rules pretty much the same?
My gold division house league is faster paced than this…. these players
aren’t toooo bad i guess.. but the goalies suck asssss

crap am i really skating that SLOW!?! at the same time im out skating guys

well, ice only hurts more if you’re playing roller on sport court (those
tiles that are plastic and rubber) if you play outdoor roller hockey, which
is on concrete, falling on that hurts a lot more than falling on ice (only
because you slide on ice and when you fall on concrete you just stop)

the only things i hate about inline is the no hitting, it alows kids to
dangle instead of just standing them up or throwing a hip check. no
offsides is bullshit cause it allows cherry picking and way too much room
for the offense specially 4-4. n last just the way the puck moves.

Roller hockey and ice hockey are both awesome, I love playing roller hockey
in the summer and pond hockey in the winter! Best of both (outdoor) worlds!
i do admit roller hockey is a kinda fag hockey but i do play it a lot b/c
…1) 100% of the parking lot where i play isnt frozen and 2) my college
doesnt have ice and 3) im not pro material for the NHL and neither are my
friends so roller is the best substitute.

i used to play roller hockey for the bulldogs.. it was fun. we didn’t
pretty good. in 2009 or 2008 we went to the ‘2 hot For Ice Tournament’ But
now i play ice hockey for Southepointe Rinkrat 16u AA midget.

“it is easier then ice” It’s easier? It can be as hard and as physical as
you want it to be depending on the opposition. It may look slow, but so
does NHL when you see it on TV. Rinkside it’s actually really fast. I play
in that league so I know.
i just switched form roller to ice and ice so much more legit the kids are
way better the checking is more intense and puckhandling is harder
