I don’t understand how people go and try out for the usa inline team. Like
how does it work
The difference between inline and ice … I play inline and you only have 4
players on the rink at a time.. there is no off sides, and no icing.. that
would seem to be the only difference.. and the fact that one is on ice and
the other on tile.. The only position truly affected is the goalie… He
is no longer able to slide in the butterfly or easily shave ice (cause
there is none) to get to thee other corner.. You’ll do a lot of T or L
pushes and a whole lot of shuffling with your feet haha .. Ice Hockey,
Roller Hockey.. Funny when I read it they both have “Hockey” right in the
name.. What is there to argue about?

I was lucky to have started ice skating when I was 6 in France, and then at
9 started Ice hockey… I was probably lucky to have parents who could
afford the gear…I have played inline hockey between ice hockey season and
there are actual differences… and quite important ones but inline was
pleasant for me in between ice hockey season to keep fit and still practice
with the stick
you’re joking right? clearly you haven’t played ice hockey cause then you
would know that the price of ice time alone makes ice hockey more expensive
than roller. plus ice hockey pants and skates are much more expensive than
roller pants and skates

want to play roller hockey idc about which one is better they’re both great
i’ve played roller hockey with my friends but not in a league if someone
can help im curious as how to start and if I would be good at it! Thanks

ok both pucks are hard inline hockey is easyer for forwards and defencemen
but harder for a goalie i have played both. I got recruted to play prep
school now for ice but i have only played for 2 years. I played roller for
8 years and it is harder because of mobility and the puck moves faster
normaly. roller pucks are lighter and easyer to curve but they are still
hard

I have played both Ice and Roller my entire life. I never thought roller
would catch up to Ice in anyway but it has. These kids are wonderfull to
watch. As good as anyone. I do not see any shortage of talent out there.
Ice is great but there is no way you can even try to deminish the
accomplishments of these talented kids. Some of the moves you see here are
as good as it gets. Great to see
