This is a very good and informative film. If you learn to master all these
techniques, you certainly will become a really good skater! I only wish
someone had told me when I was a child, as I LOVE skating! Thank you so
much for posting!
your right but if you play hockey and you´ve got the puck you can´t
capitalise just on your gravity you need the get your head up ortherwise
you get checkt like gaborik against hasek lol, your focus is on the puck
and the other players
@mrceebees14 your nationality means little if you are determined. You might
aswell be from Brazil, if you love the sport and are determined you’ll
succeed.
@bolpan I say that because the joke in my family is I should have been born
Canadian. Lets put it this way, hockey season is the ONLY time I watch TV,
after the season is over, I disconnect the cable and the Summer is spent on
my fishing boat or playing Roller hockey with friends at a local rink. But
yeah, I hear you. Being a small guy players like Theo Fleury and Cliff
Ronning were always my favorites, especially Ronning.
This is one of the best videos on skating I have seen. Thank you for
posting. I have made so much progress by these drills in just 2 weeks. I
will keep at it. Your other videos on skating are great too. How come your
channel is gone?
Skating with a stick, I find, tend to help with your overall centre of
gravity. It naturally lowers it. It emphasizes the knee bend. But with a
puck it definitely adds to the difficulty to skating.
I remember my coach having me do these drills until I couldn’t skate
anymore. I used to be sore for days until I started to lift weights which
made me stronger, but it took some flexibility away from me. This is
without a doubt, one of the hardest sports to play and it still remains my
favorite sport. -An American.

they are great but no matter how hard i try i cant get do these edge drills

the DVD these videos come from is called “Team Canada’s Skills of Gold”
i think skating with a stick is alot eaiser and better but dont do it all
the time cause then you’l’ be lost without one
Like millermp69 said, BusinessRecovery has the best videos on YouTube for
learning how to improve in ice skating. =]

the player at 4:55 is a very strong skater
LOL, I learned by watching how the NHL players moved their feet. If I fell,
I’d get up and try again, if I fell, try again.
@louernius07 Both is good, you learn techniques but an instructor will tell
you what you’re doing wrong.
@Xxsideshow22xX lol! Troll
Controlled and not moving around much
Great vid. Very instructional. Starting to think I should have checked out
youtube instead of paying for lessons
Very easy
he destroyed him,got a penalty for it,sent him head over skates
the businessrecovery videos are by far the best teaching videos on youtube
for skating
Yeah. Although when did Hasek ever hit Gaborik? One is a goalie and one is
a forward? lol
Does anyone know where to download the dvd?
Is there any videos on starting and stopping from this DVD out on youtube
etc. (it comes right after this chapter) ???
@Xxsideshow22xX you suck
Thanks BR!-
Damn, I need to learn how to do this. It’s going to take forever.
I have a problem with “ankle skating”. How to I correct this.
That one-footed edge (Ss up and down the ice) is incredibly difficult.
I also noticed the difference in skates. From a 40 dollar pair compared to
a 400 dollar pair. Huge difference.
@bolpan well it means a little.. i dunno how good the minor hockey program
is in brazil.. tough to be great if theres nowhere to play.
tnx tnx tnx

skating with stick is much more difficult, i know that very good because i
play icehockey for then 13 years
These videos were my main resource this past summer when i was learning how
to skate. They really helped.
@cg116156 suck what
look it up
what do they mean by quiet upper body?

i kno right
I tried one leg weaving at stick and puck yesterday and it was impossible
for me to keep the momentum going
Not moving around/off balance. In other words your not supposed to do
jumping jacks while working on your technique : )
@MrHman33 Very true. It’s almost a waste of money to get anything less.
@KeijinShiho trolls arent real
guys does anyone know the name of the DVD these vids come from.?
Il be doing these next time I’m on the ice.. More!!
