wearing shoulder pads…
For all the roller hockey haters, yea there’s no contact in some leagues
but that’s because it’s usually 4 on 4 more open space more “open ice”
(just put the quotes because I wouldn’t know what they call it in roller)
hits, and to defend roller hockey players you have to have pretty sweet
hands because with less guys out there, there’s less confusion and less
chances for open passes so that forces you to hold the puck longer til
someone can get open or make a beaut pass, a lot of guys that play ice are
really anxious to get rid of the puck, if you play ice, playing roller as
well will really help your hands (but if you do play roller to help your
hands as an ice player than it will kind of hurt your skating on ice as its
so different, so you wouldn’t want to do it too much)

i do play “real hockey” if you’re referring to ice hockey. Played it
competitively all through high school and still play now when i come back
home. just think there are too many roller haters out there just because
it’s not ice hockey. They are different sports, Both are sick and fun as

playing ice doesnt make you tougher than someone who plays roller. and if
you play roller it doesnt make you a pussy. and roller is just as difficult
as ice because theres not as many whistles and theres constant
transitioning so theres longer shifts and more skating.

same impact only difference the angle the hit and the fact his helmet fell
