The English Ice Hockey Association is looking for an enthusiastic person/s to take on the role of league secretary to the under 20’s league.
The Association is about to establish a new league for the under 20’s. We see the establishment of this league as an opportunity for people to remain in the game. We believe that many of our players leave the sport because they have very little opportunity to join the senior teams. Establishing this league will hopefully help players to remain in the sport for longer and continue to develop their skills.
The task would be to support the teams and clubs in your region ensuring that the rules of competition are adhered to, teams are kept well informed and organised, the league/s are well structured and planned. meetings are recorded and documented. The successful person/s will provide a communication point for all teams.
You should have strong organisational and administrative skills, with an ability to manage difficult and conflicting demands. You should be a good communicator and have the time to dedicate to making the league work administratively. You will be accountable to the league manager who will have the overall responsibility for the running and management of the league reporting ultimately to a dedicated lead director.
You will be required to submit in writing are expression of interest letter which should highlight your suitability to undertake such and exciting yet demanding role. This is a voluntary position.
